As Commercial & Marketing Director, you will lead strategic direction and oversee the entire revenue generation lifecycle—from acquisition to portfolio growth to retention. This includes managing B2C channels (both direct and indirect), B2B sales, customer retention, renewal marketing, and trade marketing across CANAL+ DTT and DTH services, with a strong focus on maximizing subscriber value, ARPU, and platform growth.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Leadership
- Create, communicate, and implement effective sales strategies to expand local market share and achieve revenue targets.
- Lead and drive sales results across all channels (direct, indirect, B2B/corporate).
- Oversee the CANAL+ Myanmar Direct, Indirect & B2B Sales teams and manage key stakeholder relationships (wholesale, dealers, partners, etc.).
- Lead and mentor sales teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring team members meet their goals.
- Analyze market trends and adjust sales approaches to maximize revenue potential.
- Actively seek new business opportunities and partnerships within the pay-TV market to expand the company's reach and revenue.
2. Customer Value & Retention Strategies
- Develop and lead strategies for customer retention, renewal marketing, and growth for DTT & DTH platforms.
- Manage the end-to-end customer lifecycle, ensuring high retention rates, ARPU maximization, and overall subscriber satisfaction.
- Identify and capitalize on upsell, cross-sell, and win-back opportunities to maximize customer value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Customer Care, Technical, Finance, Marketing) to ensure alignment and drive initiatives that improve renewals and customer loyalty.
- Serve as the strategic lead for retention and renewal campaigns, ensuring timely and seamless execution.
3. Partnership Development & Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, leveraging these connections to boost customer value and retention.
- Identify and onboard new partners to expand renewal channels and enhance customer engagement.
4. Analytical & Strategic Execution
- Translate customer and business data into actionable commercial plans.
- Develop pricing, offers, and packaging strategies in coordination with relevant teams.
- Analyze market trends, competition, and external context to develop a business plan aligned with objectives.
- Regularly present performance reviews and action plans to CANAL+ Myanmar leadership.
🏆 Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in customer lifecycle management, retention marketing, or product ownership, ideally in the pay-TV, OTT, or telecommunications sectors.
- Strong track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving customer retention and growth strategies.
- Strategic thinker with deep expertise in customer lifecycle management, ARPU optimization, and churn reduction.
- Exceptional ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Data-driven mindset, with proficiency in customer data analysis and using insights to drive decisions.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to resolve complex sales-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
