Job Objective

 

The Market Intelligence & Offer Manager oversees the design, optimization, and strategic positioning of commercial offers across the CANAL+ B&CE customer lifecycle.

Beyond offer mechanics, this role integrates market intelligence, competitive analysis, audience insights, and content trends to ensure that commercial propositions are differentiated, market-relevant, and financially sustainable.

 

As a key driver of customer value strategy, this role connects market dynamics with commercial execution to drive ARPU growth, competitive positioning, acquisition performance, and customer retention.

 

The role is based in Luxembourg, requires regular business travel, and reports directly to the Executive Vice President Business of CANAL+ Benelux & Central Europe

 

 

Your responsibilities

 

1.       Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:

  • Monitor and analyze market trends across subscription, media, telecom, and digital entertainment sectors.
  • Track competitors offer pricing models, bundling strategies, promotional intensity, and positioning.
  • Analyze audience behaviors, consumption trends, and content preferences to anticipate shifts in demand.
  • Provide regular market and competitive insights reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify white spaces and opportunities for differentiation in pricing, packaging, and value proposition.
  • Assess impact of major content launches, sports rights, and platform innovations on competitive dynamics.

 

2.       Offer Design & Commercial Mechanics:

  • Design promotional and non‑promotional offers supporting acquisition, onboarding, upsell, cross‑sell, and retention.
  • Define offer mechanics (discount depth, duration, bundles, eligibility criteria, upgrade/downgrade rules).
  • Ensure optimal balance between customer attractiveness, competitiveness, and commercial sustainability.
  • Maintain a structured, standardized offer catalogue across markets.

 

3.       Offer Setup & Market Enablement:

  • Translate strategic guidelines into precise, actionable offer specifications.
  • Provide templates, documentation, and best practice tools for scalable implementation.
  • Support markets in localizing offers within centrally defined governance rules.
  • Serve as the go to reference for operational questions on offer setup and execution.

 

4.       Campaign & Offer Performance Analysis:

  • Monitor offer performance across markets: uptake, ARPU impact, churn influence, conversion metrics.
  • Identify underperforming mechanics and propose data‑driven optimizations.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to assess incremental impact and extract learnings.
  • Drive a culture of experimentation and structured A/B testing.

 

5.       CRM & Lifecycle Integration:

  • Work with CRM and Marketing to embed offers into lifecycle journeys and automated flows.
  • Align offers with segmentation logic, triggers, and communication strategies.
  • Support testing of offer mechanics (discount depth, duration, messaging).
  • Develop and optimize save‑offer structures aligned with financial guardrails.

 

6.       Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Customer Value, Finance, Product, and Operations to ensure financial viability and technical feasibility.
  • Serve as the HQ central point for all offer‑related topics.
  • Ensure coherence between commercial ambition, system capabilities, and operational processes.
  • Support governance and approval processes for new or exceptional offer types.

 

 

 

Experience

 

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Strategy or equivalent
  • 5–8 years of experience in offer strategy, pricing, market intelligence, commercial strategy or subscription business
  • Proven experience in competitive analysis and market benchmarking
  • Experience in subscription-based industries (media, telecom, streaming, digital services)
  • Strong understanding of content-driven business models
  • Fluent in English
