Luxembourg-based M7 Group, owned by global content powerhouse CANAL+ Group, is a leading European provider of video content throughout 9 European markets, including the Benelux, the DACH region and various CEE markets. Building upon a solid base of DTH, IPTV and OTT pay-tv customers, M7 is enhancing its premium content offering for the various markets. Starting in Austria, Netherland, Czech Republic & Slovakia, the premium content proposition consists of a mix of linear channels and local streaming platforms, all under the CANAL+ brand. A major part of the premium content offering is derived from the CANAL+ library of series and films, where relevant combined with live sports and third-party content. Furthermore, M7 is engaged in its own local content production, in close conjunction with sister company and major content creator STUDIOCANAL.
The complete video offering for the various M7 markets is available via state-of-the-art hybrid DTH/OTT reception devices, as well via localized TV apps, allowing for an easy and seamless content consumption via any screen, any place and at any time.
Job Objective
The Head of Procurement supports the company strategy to deliver high quality video services to DTH and OTT customers. The main goal of this position is to ensure, with the support of the Group central team, that all hardware, software, systems, technologies and services required to run our operations are always contracted at the best possible conditions.
The position is based in Luxembourg and reports to the M7 Group CFO with a functional reporting line to the Central Procurement team.
Your responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining procurement strategies that align with the company’s shareholder and improves cost-effectiveness
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors, negotiating with them to secure advantageous terms
- Maximizing Group synergies and leverage Group scale to generate optimizations
- Liaising with central procurement team on current and future negotiations
- Reviewing existing contracts to ensure ongoing feasibility
- Aligning internally with the technology teams, project management and commercial management to ensure timely procurement of goods and service needed
- Overseeing all company’s purchases and aligning with Finance for proper reporting
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, operations management, supply chain, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar function, preferably in the technology industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Fluency in English; French would be an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating a high level of attention to details.
