Job Objective
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Business Analytics Manager to lead the Business Analyst community across CANAL+ Benelux & Central Europe (B&CE).
This role will be responsible for managing a team of Business Analysts covering the regions of DACH, BENELUX, CZ-SK, and Romania/Hungary, while also driving analytical excellence across key expertise domains including Usage Analytics, Portfolio Performance, and Marketing Analytics.
As part of the Central Business Team based in Luxembourg, the Business Analytics Manager will play a critical role in transforming data into strategic business insights, enabling fact-based decision-making and ensuring consistency of performance measurement across all markets.
The position acts as the main interface between business stakeholders and the Central Data teams located in France and Poland, ensuring business priorities are translated into analytical roadmaps, reporting frameworks, and actionable recommendations.
This is a senior leadership position requiring strong analytical expertise, stakeholder management skills, and proven experience in managing international teams.
Your responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop the Business Analyst team across DACH, BENELUX, CZ-SK, and Romania/Hungary.
- Define team priorities, objectives, and analytical standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop analytical talent across the organization.
- Build a strong analytical community and promote best practices, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure efficient allocation of analytical resources across regions and business priorities.
Business Performance & Insights
- Own the B&CE business performance review framework, ensuring consistent reporting and KPI governance across all markets.
- Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with senior leadership.
- Provide strategic analysis and recommendations on subscriber growth, retention, churn, customer value, portfolio performance, content consumption, and commercial initiatives.
- Identify business opportunities, risks, and performance drivers to support strategic decision-making.
- Deliver executive-level insights and presentations to the EVP Business and regional leadership teams.
Analytics Expertise Leadership
- Establish analytical methodologies and standards across key expertise areas:
- Usage & Customer Behavior Analytics
- Portfolio & Product Performance
- Marketing & Campaign Effectiveness
- Commercial Performance & Revenue Analytics
- Ensure consistency in KPI definitions and reporting across countries.
- Drive the adoption of advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
Collaboration with Central Data Teams
- Act as the primary business counterpart for the Central Data teams in France and Poland.
- Translate business needs into analytical and data requirements.
- Prioritize reporting, dashboard, and analytical developments aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure data quality, reporting reliability, and alignment with Group standards.
- Support the implementation of Group-wide data and analytics initiatives.
Strategic Projects
- Support major strategic initiatives, business transformations, and growth projects across B&CE.
- Provide analytical input for business cases, market assessments, pricing strategies, product launches, and investment decisions.
- Contribute to the development of long-term business planning and forecasting activities.
SKILLS And Experience
Experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in Business Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Business Intelligence, Strategy, or Performance Management.
- Proven experience managing analytical teams in an international and multicultural environment.
- Experience within subscription-based, telecom, media, digital, entertainment, or consumer businesses is highly desirable.
- Strong track record of partnering with senior leadership and influencing strategic decisions through data.
Technical Competencies
- Strong expertise in business performance analysis and KPI frameworks.
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI and analytics tools.
- Excellent SQL skills.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, reporting architecture, and business intelligence environments.
- Strong understanding of subscription business models, customer lifecycle management, CRM, retention, and revenue optimization.
