Role Overview: 

 

Reporting to the Head of Theatrical Marketing, the role’s core function is to support Campaign Managers across all aspects of a film’s theatrical marketing campaign. As well as lead on some smaller scale theatrical and reissue releases, coordinate exhibitor advertising across all titles and general support across the team.

Main Duties:

 

  • Assisting Campaign Managers on the project management of assigned titles across all areas of the theatrical marketing mix including delivery of creative (both origination and adapts), media, exhibitor activity, promotions, digital / social and events.
  • Learning to lead on the marketing campaigns for smaller scale theatrical titles and STUDIOCANAL reissue titles in conjunction with the Home Ent team where appropriate.  
  • Exhibitor liaison, in conjunction with Campaign Managers, coordinating all advertising and other paid activity with exhibitors’ ensuring titles have a strong presence across exhibitor real estate, including co-ordination of site checks and keeping contact databases up to date.
  • Coordination of the weekly cinema materials send out and designated print/distribution house, ensuring materials for titles across the team are sent out in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the Senior Promotions and Partnerships Manager in coordinating promotional activity for titles when necessary, including; screening programs, brand tie-ins, production of merchandise and competitions.
  • Close coordination with the UK Senior Digital Marketing Manager and Campaign Manager on social media strategy, content and posts across all platforms  on assigned titles where necessary.  
  • Liaison and development of relationships with internal teams as well as the international teams, media agencies, promotional partners, exhibitors and our teams in Ireland.
  • Coordinating design and production of all promotional POS on assigned titles, including invitations, company literature and competition / cinema POS.
  • Working with relevant teams to ensure UK theatrical campaign materials are readily available on our internal asset supply site.
  • Purchase order, invoice and admin support across the team as needed.  
  • Keeping up to date with marketing trends and competitor campaigns.

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • General knowledge of the film and distribution industry / agencies / UK media owners
  • 3+ years prior experience in film or entertainment marketing (ideally distribution)
  • Strong copywriting / proofing skills  
  • Ability to prioritise workload and multiple campaigns at once
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Clear and direct communication skills, excellent English written/spoken
  • Assertive, confident approach to work
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Efficient and accurate with good reporting skills
  • Team player
  • Love and passion for film, regular cinema goer.
