Role Overview:

 

As part of the CANAL+ Group Procurement Department, you'll collaborate across multiple entities and geographies, managing a diverse international portfolio that directly influences overall business performance. Working closely with the Procurement and Finance teams, your primary focus will be on international media and marketing procurement – including the planning, negotiation, and purchasing of advertising space across various channels such as TV, radio, digital, and print. Your responsibilities will also involve analysing market trends, audience data, and campaign performance  to ensure optimal media placement and cost efficiency.

A key objective of this role will be to standardise procurement practices, enhance operational efficiency, ensure strong financial impact, and drive strategic value across the Group’s international entities. In addition, you will oversee certain General & Administrative (G&A) expenses, such as facility management, car fleet operations, and business travel management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tenders, contract negotiations, supplier relationships, and related procurement activities.
  • Ensure adherence to the Group’s Procurement procedures while securing optimal pricing and contractual terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with STUDIOCANAL teams in UK, Germany, Australia & New Zealand, Poland, Netherlands.
  • Contribute to the standardisation and professionalisation of Procurement practices within the Group.
  • Working in close partnership with Central Procurement and Finance teams to ensure strategic and budgetary alignment.
  • Participate in the implementation of performance monitoring and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor supplier activity and market developments to anticipate emerging trends.

 

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in a Procurement function, preferably within an international environment.
  • Strong expertise in media and marketing buying, complemented by a keen understanding of G&A categories.
  • Highly analytical and results-oriented with a rigorous approach to decision-making and process optimization.
  • Collaborative and people-focused, with a natural ability to lead and foster team spirit.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic background supplemented by a Procurement specialism.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French is desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency with IT tools and platforms.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with robust organisational and project management capabilities.
  • Confident operating in dynamic, multicultural environments.
