Role Overview:
We are looking for a strategic and collaborative Global Digital Strategy Lead to join our Global Creative Marketing team. This role will give you a great opportunity to shape the digital footprint of our international film releases, driving innovative strategies from production through to global distribution. You’ll play a key role in shaping how audiences connect with our stories — driving creative ideas, sparking engagement, and working across markets to bring campaigns to life online.
Key Responsibilities:
Audience & Platform Strategy:
- Define digital positioning for our international slate, aligning platform strategies with audience behaviours across global markets.
- Lead audience segmentation and behavioural analysis to identify key demographics and content preferences.
- Deliver insights through competitor benchmarking and social trend analysis to guide campaign direction.
- Develop platform-specific strategies and messaging frameworks tailored to audience segments and channel conventions.
Creative Ideation & Content Strategy:
- Translate campaign pillars in to engaging digital content strategies across global and local social channels.
- Provide creative inspiration and format recommendations aligned with character themes and narrative arcs.
- Generate ideas for Content Days and reactive content that taps in to real-time trends and audience sentiment.
- Support influencer marketing by identifying relevant creators and proposing platform-appropriate exécutions.
Stakeholder Liaisons
- Collaborate with internal teams including Global Marketing, Publicity, and Distribution to coordinate campaign execution and asset launches.
- Guide local digital teams with strategic direction, ensuring alignment with global objectives and sharing performance insights.
- Act as primary contact for third-party distributors, especially US-based partners, to ensure strategic alignment and campaign clarity.
- Facilitate regular communication across territories and external partners to coordinate creative, influencer, and digital activations.
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- 7+ years in digital marketing, social strategy, or content leadership roles (preferably within entertainment or media).
- Proven ability to develop and implement global digital and social strategies across the full lifecycle of film releases.
- Experience working on global campaigns across international teams and territories.
- Strong understanding of audience segmentation, platform behaviour, and digital positioning.
- Ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations and to provide creative direction and guidelines for local market adaptation.
- Skilled in competitor analysis, social trends tracking, and performance reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills to guide and support internal teams, including senior execs.
- Familiarity with influencer marketing and digital partnerships.
- Up-to-date knowledge of social media innovations, platform updates, and emerging tools.
