STUDIOCANAL, a 100% affiliate of CANAL+ Group held by Vivendi, is Europe’s leader in production, distribution and international sales of feature films and series, operating in all five major European markets - France, United Kingdom, Germany, Benelux and Spain - as well as in Australia and New Zealand.  It finances and produces around 30 films per year, distributes around 50 films per year and owns one of the largest film libraries in the world, boasting nearly 7 000 titles from 60 countries, spanning 100 years of film history. 20 million euros has been invested into the restoration of 700 classic films over the past 5 years. STUDIOCANAL also produces more than 200 hours of TV series each year at an international level. All productions take place directly through STUDIOCANAL entities or with its award-winning network of European production companies.


Our main missions in the international marketing project management team are to elaborate the marketing strategies and to coordinate the execution of this strategy and of the marketing campaign for all films, from the start of production and sales until the B2C campaign launch and the global release of the films. Therefore, we are working closely with many teams internally (international sales, publicity, international distribution, production, local distribution teams, finance, legal) and externally (third-party distributors, line producers…).


Main tasks of our intern:

  • Participating in the collective review of new projects prior to greenlight, reviewing scripts and contributing to the marketing SWOT analysis;
  • Drafting and updating ‘pitch decks’ and ‘marketing decks’ to summarize respectively the film’s B-to-B positioning and B-to-C marketing strategy (incl. pitch, positioning, synopsis, target audience, key selling points, comparable titles, challenges & opportunities, moodboards, international campaigns), to be communicated to the International Sales team ahead of key markets and to the Studiocanal territories and third-party distributors;
  • Centralizing B-to-B assets and film information ahead of the key markets (such as Berlin, Cannes, AFM) and managing the creation of our lineup brochure with the creative agency;
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, including tracking of film expenses;
  • Participating to the editorialisation of the Studiocanal international website;
  • Assisting with the logistics and the overall preparation of International Marketing Seminars.



Requirements to apply for this internship:

  • Excellent spoken and written English (C1 or higher);
  • Passionate about film you watch no less than 2 films per week;
  • Previous internship experience in the entertainment industry is highly appreciated;
  • Multitasking and motivated.
