🎯 Your role and missions    

 

You will be working in the International Marketing and Distribution Team for New Films and reporting to the VP Global Marketing based in Paris. The Global Marketing and Distribution Team is responsible for developing film marketing strategies and deploying them for B2B launches and B2C campaigns, both for theatrical and global platform releases. From publicity to creative assets, from distribution strategies to digital, as Junior Marketing Project Manager you will be working closely with all business units while building and driving the marketing strategy for new local films on our slate as well as assisting Marketing Managers on international film campaigns. You will also support the Marketing team in ensuring day-to-day slate project coordination and overarching team admin tasks. You will be interacting with all the STUDIOCANAL subsidiaries day to day as well as filmmakers, external stakeholders, and agencies.

 

  •  Define and coordinate global marketing strategies for Studiocanal productions sold internationally: including positioning, target audience, comparable titles, marketing pillars, campaign timeline.  For allocated titles, work with the International Creative marketing, Digital, Publicity and Distribution teams to coordinate overall marketing strategy and ensure timings are aligned.
  • Assist marketing managers on priority international and local titles.
  • Work closely with the International Sales, Creative Marketing, and Publicity teams on sales launches and film market activity coordination: from international title, sales pitch, synopsis, to the B2B promo, from the pitch deck to the B2B artwork, everything needs to be aligned to make our line-up shines.
  • Coordinate design of film market line-up brochures: gather all information and brief the agency, with the help of the department intern.
  • Liaise with filmmakers and production companies to present marketing plans and coordinate approvals for B2B pitches, synopses, international titles etc.
  • Liaise with all Studiocanal subsidiaries (UK, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Benelux) when needed to support their local releases. Make sure information on marketing strategy and campaign plans across the entire line up is up to date and accurate (ensuring that marketing decks are available on Studiocloud and/or sent directly to relevant markets.
  • Coordinate and communicate all monthly International Slate Preview updates to both international and local teams.
  • When working on local titles, liaise with relevant Studiocanal production teams to obtain most up to date information on projects, and with the marketing team of the leading territory to make sure all global marketing planning is aligned with local efforts (e.g. dates of local trailer/poster launches)
  • Manage international marketing budgets for your titles: build, allocate, forecast and anticipate requirements for the release. You will liaise with finance and all relevant lines of business to ensure budget planning is always up to date and handle budget approvals.
  • You will be responsible for information on availability for key materials working closely with the Servicing team delivering materials (NODs) to third party distributors.
  • Work with LOBs to make sure information on new films is up to date across all internal databases and international public facing digital platforms (e.g. IMDB).
  • Make sure the team key admin tools (such as contact sheets) are always up to date.

 

 

🏆 And what about you ? 

 

o   You have 1-2 years of experience in Marketing/Distribution in the cinema industry;

o   You are proficient in PowerPoint, Excel etc;

o   You are proactive, autonomous and able to suggest ideas;

o   You are known for your good communication skills and your enthusiasm;

o   You have a passion for cinema;

o   You are both fluent in English and French.
